MongoDB Database Administrator

Role Overview :

As a MongoDB Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our MongoDB database infrastructure.

You will collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and operations personnel to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of our data platforms. Your work will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of our applications, enabling us to deliver exceptional experiences to our users and achieve critical business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement highly available and scalable MongoDB database solutions to meet evolving business needs.

- Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure optimal application responsiveness.

- Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime.

- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.

- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on database design, query optimization, and data modeling.

- Automate routine database administration tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to business operations.

- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for critical database systems.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in MongoDB database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- Proven ability to design and implement highly available and scalable MongoDB solutions.

- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

- Experience with database security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 8-10 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on MongoDB.
