Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Senior DevOps Engineer with 6+ years of experience in infrastructure and platform engineering.

The ideal candidate will be a specialist in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and possess deep expertise in modern CI/CD practices using GitLab and Argo CD.

This role involves leading the management of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services, and collaborating with a distributed, global team to implement best practices and SRE principles.

Key Responsibilities :

- Cloud & Infrastructure Management : Lead the management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on GCP. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of all cloud services, with a desirable familiarity with Rancher and Ansible for automation and orchestration.

- CI/CD & Kubernetes : Design, implement, and maintain robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Manage and automate Kubernetes deployments using Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm, ensuring efficient and reliable orchestration.

- Automation & Observability : Develop and support automation scripts to streamline workflows, with a preference for Python experience. Implement and manage observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK to proactively monitor system performance.

- SRE & Best Practices : Apply SRE practices in high-availability, always-on environments to ensure system stability and performance. Collaborate closely with junior engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices across the team.

- Collaboration & Communication : Communicate effectively with team members, developers, and stakeholders across multiple time zones, primarily with an overlap with the Portugal-based team. Work autonomously to identify and resolve issues with minimal guidance, while also providing mentorship.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.

- Strong, hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Proficiency with GitLab pipelines, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure management.

- Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Helm, and cloud-native environments.

- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK.

- Strong understanding of Linux internals and system performance.

- Proven ability to apply SRE practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.

- Flexibility to work with India time zone overlap and adapt to a global, distributed schedule.
