Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Product Ownership :

- Define and manage the product roadmap and technical backlog in collaboration with Product Managers.

- Translate high-level product requirements into detailed user stories, technical tasks, and acceptance criteria.

- Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, technical complexity, and stakeholder needs.

- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clear understanding and execution.

Technical Leadership :

- Guide architectural decisions and enforce engineering best practices across the team.

- Lead technical design discussions and provide hands-on support for development, debugging, and deployment.

- Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the product.

- Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards and technical excellence.

- Continuously identify and mitigate technical debt.

Team Management :

- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.

- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in agile/scrum settings.

- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in team processes and delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, UX, and Data Engineering.

- Present progress updates, release notes, and technical feasibility to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills :

- Languages: Java, Python, or Node.js (hands-on proficiency in at least one)

- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Express.js, Django or equivalent

- Frontend Exposure: React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (basic understanding)

- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (at least one)

- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis

- DevOps Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions

- Monitoring Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic

- Agile Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Git

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 8+ years of overall experience with 23 years in a Technical Product Owner or Engineering Manager capacity.

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with modern product development practices and tools.

Good to Have :

- Experience working in a SaaS environment or large-scale distributed systems.

- Exposure to data pipelines or streaming technologies like Kafka or Spark.

- Certification in Agile (CSPO/SAFe) or Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure Architect).
