About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Middle+/Senior PHP Developer to join a large healthcare management project serving nursing homes across Australia and New Zealand. The role focuses on consolidating legacy PHP systems, improving platform stability, and preparing the product for future modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze, merge, and stabilize legacy PHP codebases

- Refactor complex business logic and improve code quality

- Optimize SQL queries and database performance

- Collaborate closely with developers, DBA, and technical stakeholders

- Support system stability during the consolidation phase

- Assist in planning upgrades and modernization initiatives

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on PHP development experience (PHP 7)

- 2 + Years of Experience in C#

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, query optimization)

- Strong Git skills (branching, merging, conflict resolution)

- Good English communication skills

Nice to Have :

- Experience upgrading PHP 7 to PHP 8

- PostgreSQL or AWS experience

- Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks

- Knowledge of CI/CD practice
