Job Title : Mid Backend Engineer Java

Experience Level : 4 to 7 Years

Location : Tharamani, Chennai / UB City, Bengaluru

Mode of Work : Hybrid (Work from Office 1 to 2 Weeks in a Month)

About the Role :


We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mid Backend Engineer - Java to join our team at Vikgol. You will design and develop software solutions for highly scalable systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready features.

Responsibilities :


- Design and build robust backend systems using Java and AWS.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and working prototypes.

- Convert prototypes to scalable production-grade solutions.

- Drive microservices architecture and CI/CD best practices.

- Deliver functional software iteratively in an Agile (Scrum) environment.

- End-to-end ownership of features from development to deployment.

- Build tools and frameworks to speed up future development.

- Work closely with Product Owners to shape impactful user features.

Requirements :


- 4 - 7 years of backend development experience.

- Strong experience in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and microservices.

- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, etc.).

- Experience designing and building containerized applications using Docker/Kubernetes.

- Strong understanding of RDBMS/NoSQL databases and caching tools like Redis.

- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

- Exposure to solving non-functional concerns like scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Strong unit testing, code review, and performance optimization skills.

- Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of working independently.

Preferred :


- Experience in startup/B2B environments.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and first-principles thinking.

- Alumni from premier institutes (IIT/NIT preferred).
