Microsoft Architect - SharePoint Online

Role & responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end Microsoft 365 (M365) solution architecture for client engagements

- Design and build SharePoint Online environments including site structure, metadata, permissions, and governance

- Execute large-scale M365 migrations using tools like ShareGate, SPMT, Quest, etc.

- Handle complex migration scenarios including NTFS permissions, path limitations, data cleanup (ROT), and reconciliation

- Conduct client discovery workshops and translate requirements into actionable implementation plans

- Prepare and deliver architecture documents, migration playbooks, and risk assessments

- Implement Microsoft Purview compliance solutions including DLP, retention policies, and eDiscovery

- Define and enforce tenant-level governance and security policies

- Collaborate with US-based stakeholders and present solutions to CIOs and IT leadership

- Mentor team members and contribute to pre-sales, solutioning, and effort estimation

Preferred candidate profile:

- 8 to 14 years of IT experience with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online

- Proven experience in enterprise-scale M365 migrations (500GB+)

- Hands-on expertise with migration tools such as ShareGate, SPMT, or Quest

- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, governance, and metadata design

- Experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, Retention, Sensitivity Labels, eDiscovery)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (client-facing experience is mandatory)

- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced consulting environment

- Exposure to public sector / regulated environments is a plus

- Microsoft certifications (M365, Security, or related) are highly preferred

- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is an added advantage
