We are seeking a motivated and experienced Cobol Developer to join our dynamic development team.

The ideal candidate will have 612 years of professional experience.

The main goal of the position is to know well the customers application environment and help migrate to different tool from MicroFocus cobol.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Experience in migrating COBOL applications from Micro Focus to different platforms, including code conversion, dependency analysis, data file migration, build and runtime configuration, and functional validation within the .NET ecosystem.

- Proficient in adapting Micro Focus extensions to another tool-compatible syntax, integrating COBOL logic with .NET services, and ensuring seamless modernization and deployment on Azure.

- Provide technical specifications for all the enhancements.

- Track and report on requested enhancements.

- Work with Operations team on Creating root cause analysis.

- Identify recurring incidents and trigger Problem management process.

- Proactively identify trends in Service provided, implement improvements, and provide feedback on improvements.

Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional) : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Must Have :

Skill Set Required :

- Experience working with Programming Languages (Cobol, CICS, JCL).

- Experience working with Microfocus, MQ Series.

- Experience in troubleshooting Oracle queries.

- ITIL Framework.

- Datadog knowledge is an advantage.

- Cloud knowledge is an advantage.

- Communicating effectively by conveying information and ideas in English, in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicit inputs and provide open candid conversations.

- Developing collaborative relationships for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives; developing relationships with other individuals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others efforts.

- Experience in working in large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
