Our team values openness, shared purpose, and entrepreneurial drive. We offer meaningful growth for high-performing individuals who are aligned with our mission.

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. As we build an AI-first platform, this role is ideal for someone who is technically strong and interested in using AI tools to improve development workflows, enhance code quality, and increase productivity through automation.

You will design and develop scalable backend systems using Java or Node.js, work with microservices and event-driven architectures, and ensure that our services are secure, performant, and maintainable. The ideal candidate is hands-on with backend technologies, fluent in SQL, and comfortable working in cross-functional teams that deliver impactful features from end to end.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop microservices architectures that support scalability, modularity, and maintainability

- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize relational database performance (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)

- Implement event-driven systems using tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS

- Apply secure development practices for authentication, authorization, and data handling

- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using software engineering best practices

- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver complete features

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural design and system decisions

Required Skills and Experience :

- 3 to 5 years of experience developing backend systems in Java or Node.js

- Strong experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and microservices

- Proficiency in SQL and relational database design and optimization

- Experience working with event-driven architectures and message queues

- Understanding of web application security principles (e.g., OWASP, JWT, OAuth2, HTTPS)

- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and containerization tools like Docker

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have :

- Experience with serverless backends, API gateways, or cloud-native architectures

- Background working in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains

- Exposure to performance profiling or observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana)
