Mastek - Database Engineer

Job Description :

DB skills and data warehouse concepts.

Primary :

- Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.

- Advanced SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts.

- Experience in database performance tuning for large datasets.

- Knowledge of partitioning, indexing, and optimization.

- Exposure to ETL/ELT tools (Informatica preferred).

Secondary :

- Scripting skills :

1. Python (preferred)

2. Shell scripting

3. PowerShell

- Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain databases for performance, availability, and security.

- Implement and support data warehouse structures and optimization.

- Monitor and tune queries, workloads, and large datasets.

- Support and troubleshoot ETL/data pipelines.

- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance.

- Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and application teams.
