About the Role :

Our client, a leading technology company in the Insurance & Financial Services domain, is seeking a seasoned technology leader who thrives in a balanced role - 50% hands-on and 50% team leadership. This is not a pure management role; strong technical grounding and the ability to lead by example are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide hands-on leadership in designing, developing, and implementing software products for Insurance and Financial markets.

- Lead and motivate a high-performing team, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and individual growth.

- Partner with product and business leaders to define strategies, build technology roadmaps, and drive delivery of complex engineering projects.

- Drive successful product launches in scalable, high-growth environments.

- Build and scale technology teams while enabling organizational change in a fast-paced setting.

- Ensure IT solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and strategic direction.

- Manage vendor solutions and oversee deliverables for business-critical projects.

- Engage with clients and senior stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Total Experience : 14-16 years in software/product development.

- Technical Leadership : 5-8 years leading technology teams, with proven success in delivering high-impact projects.

- Hands-on Expertise : 5+ years working with Java, PostgreSQL, GCP, Angular/React, and related technologies (hands-on coding not expected, but strong technical leadership is).

- Cloud Proficiency : Minimum 3 years' experience in cloud-based data technologies.

- Product Development : 10+ years of progressive experience in building software products, ideally in scalable markets.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent); advanced degree preferred.

Technical Expertise :

- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Jenkins, Artifactory, ELK stack, Kubernetes, Anthos, and GCP.

- Familiarity with SaaS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Google Cloud Platform or Azure, Vue.js, Angular, React, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server stack.

- General exposure to testing and automation frameworks (Selenium, BDD, Gradle, Maven, Java, Python, Postman).

- Industry experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a strong plus.
