The Network Lead is responsible for design, implementation, management, and security of the organizations network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with ISMS and organizational policies. This role provides technical leadership, governance, and operational oversight for enterprise networks across corporate and site locations.
Key Responsibilities :
Network Design & Implementation :
- Design and implement enterprise network architecture (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN)
- Ensure network architecture aligns with IT strategy and business objectives
- Lead deployment of routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN solutions
Network Operations & Maintenance :
- Ensure 24x7 availability and performance of network infrastructure
- Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, and uptime
- Manage troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
- Ensure smooth functioning of routers, switches, leased lines, etc
Network Security & Compliance :
- Implement and enforce network security controls (firewalls, VLANs, access controls)
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 / ISMS policies and internal security guidelines
- Monitor vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation actions
- Ensure secure access (VPN, user access controls, segmentation policies)
Change & Incident Management :
- Ensure adherence to Change Management process for all network changes
- Participate in CAB reviews and risk assessments
- Handle network-related incidents and escalations
- Maintain documentation of configurations
Vendor & Stakeholder Management :
- Manage network vendors, ISPs, and OEMs
- Review SLAs and ensure service delivery compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams (Security, Infra, Applications, CoE)
Documentation & Audit Readiness :
- Maintain updated documentation of :
1. Network diagrams
2. Configurations and asset inventory
3. SOPs and runbooks
- Support internal/external audits (ISO/ISMS) with evidence and compliance
