Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Infrastructure Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and governance of robust, scalable, and compliant DC-DR architectures for banking institutions.
The role involves end-to-end responsibility for assessing current infrastructure, defining recovery strategies, and ensuring business continuity through industry-aligned and regulator-compliant solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain expertise across data center operations, cloud, virtualization, and banking regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess existing data center, cloud, and disaster recovery capabilities to identify gaps and improvement areas.
- Design scalable and resilient DC-DR architectures (active-active, active-passive, hybrid, and cloud-based DR models).
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical systems and define business continuity priorities.
- Perform risk assessments to evaluate threats and vulnerabilities impacting IT and business operations.
- Define and validate recovery objectives including RTO and RPO aligned to business criticality.
- Recommend DR technologies, including cloud-native, hybrid cloud, and backup/recovery solutions.
- Evaluate infrastructure readiness across compute, storage, network, and cloud platforms for DR enablement.
- Develop comprehensive DR plans, runbooks, failover procedures, and operational playbooks.
- Lead DR testing cycles, simulation drills, and failover validation to ensure recovery effectiveness.
- Produce architecture documentation, governance policies, and compliance-aligned DR frameworks.
Candidate Requirements :
- Proven experience in DC-DR architecture design and implementation within banking or financial services.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) including DR-as-a-Service and hybrid cloud setups.
- Deep understanding of data center operations, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of network architecture, replication mechanisms, and high-availability design principles.
- Familiarity with banking regulations, data residency requirements, and compliance frameworks (ISO 22301, ISO 27001).
- Experience in defining and implementing RTO/RPO-driven recovery strategies across enterprise systems.
- Strong capability in conducting BIA, risk assessments, and translating findings into architecture decisions.
- Exposure to modern DR solutions including cloud backups, site recovery automation, and orchestration tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills in complex transformation environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, and AWS/Azure Solutions Architect.
