Job Title : Mainframe Tester (P2/P3 Level)

Location : Hybrid/ Bangalore

Experience Required : 34 Years

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Tester with 34 years of experience, ideally in the banking domain, to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in mainframe testing, capable of understanding complex systems, and experienced in delivering quality assurance across mainframe applications, particularly on Microsoft Z Series. A background in manual testing, SOAP testing, and knowledge of banking systems like ZBA, SWEEP, and CD Accounts is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Attend and actively participate in design review meetings to understand application and system architecture.

- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.

- Identify, document, and manage test scenarios, defects, and test results effectively.

- Perform hands-on mainframe testing on Microsoft Z Series environments.

- Conduct functional and technical analysis of mainframe issues and contribute to solution implementation.

- Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure timely issue resolution and product quality.

- Work with SOAP Sonar/SOAP UI for web services testing.

- Ensure adherence to the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and established testing processes.

- Explore and learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of relevant experience in Mainframe Testing, particularly within the banking domain.

- Proficient in manual testing with knowledge of best practices in test case design and execution.

- Hands-on experience with ZBA, SWEEP, and CD Accounts.

- Knowledge of Hogan is a plus.

- Familiarity with SOAP Sonar and SOAP UI for service layer testing.

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- ISTQB Certification (optional but preferred).

- Exposure to test management tools (like ALM, JIRA, etc.)
