Role Overview:
As a Mainframe Infrastructure Integration Architect, you will serve as the technical cornerstone for our enterprise-grade IBM Z environments. You will lead the design, integration, and optimization of complex z/OS ecosystems, ensuring that our core banking and mission-critical applications remain resilient, secure, and highly available. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, security architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex infrastructure requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions. Your work directly impacts the stability of our production operations, ensuring seamless service delivery for millions of end-users while driving the modernization of our mainframe footprint in a highly regulated landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and oversee the deployment of robust z/OS infrastructure solutions to ensure maximum uptime and performance for mission-critical business applications.
- Lead complex infrastructure cutovers and system migrations, coordinating with internal stakeholders to minimize operational risk and downtime.
- Design and implement advanced sysplex configurations and JES2 environments to optimize workload distribution and resource utilization across the enterprise.
- Manage the integration of mainframe security subsystems, including RACF and ACF2, to maintain rigorous compliance standards and protect sensitive data assets.
- Develop and execute comprehensive disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and rapid restoration of services during unforeseen system events.
- Automate routine infrastructure tasks and system monitoring processes to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention in production environments.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting and managing IBM Z infrastructure, with a deep understanding of z/OS systems programming and USS environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize TCP/IP networking, storage subsystems, and complex sysplex configurations in large-scale production environments.
- Strong proficiency in implementing and managing security frameworks, specifically RACF and ACF2, with a focus on coexistence strategies and audit readiness.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical architectural decisions to both technical peers and non-technical business leaders.
- Strong analytical mindset, capable of navigating regulated production environments while maintaining a focus on stability, security, and performance.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment across our Bangalore and Pune offices, demonstrating adaptability to evolving business and technical requirements.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, reflecting a strong foundation in systems architecture and enterprise computing.
