Mainframe Developer

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that applications meet business needs.

- Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

- Optimize and enhance existing mainframe applications for performance and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process

improvements.

- Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology.

Qualifications :

- 5 to 10 years of experience in mainframe development.

- Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

- Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

- Experience with mainframe tools and utilities.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

- Knowledge of additional mainframe programming languages and technologies.
