You will be the technical authority on all cloud-related decisions from multi-tenant SaaS architecture and edge-to-cloud video pipelines to security compliance and cost optimisation.

Working closely with product, engineering, and operations teams, you will ensure that the Scanalitix platform remains highly available, scalable, and secure as it grows across enterprise clients and government deployments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & Design :

- Design and own end-to-end cloud architecture for Scanalitix's SaaS platform, supporting VMS, CMS, Video Analytics, and FMS modules.

- Architect scalable, low-latency video ingestion and processing pipelines spanning edge devices, on-premise nodes, and cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP).

- Define reference architectures for multi-tenant, multi-site deployments serving enterprise and government clients.

- Lead hybrid and on-premise cloud integration design, ensuring seamless interoperability with customer data centres.

2. Infrastructure & DevOps :

- Establish and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent tools.

- Design CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration strategies using Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / GKE) and Docker.

- Define auto-scaling, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies for critical surveillance workloads.

- Drive cloud cost optimisation through reserved instances, spot strategies, and architectural right-sizing.

3. Security & Compliance :

- Implement zero-trust security models, IAM policies, VPC isolation, and encryption standards across all environments.

- Ensure compliance with STQC, MeitY, ISO 27001, and relevant data-sovereignty regulations for government deployments.

- Lead security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation planning with the security team.

4. AI/ML & Video Analytics Infrastructure :

- Architect GPU-enabled cloud and edge compute environments for real-time AI inference (intrusion detection, ANPR, crowd analytics, PPE compliance).

- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to productionise model serving at edge and cloud with optimised throughput and latency.

- Design data lakes and streaming pipelines (Kafka / Kinesis) for alert ingestion, SLA tracking, and analytics.

5. Leadership & Governance :

- Define and enforce cloud governance frameworks, tagging strategies, and architectural review processes.

- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on cloud best practices, patterns, and emerging technologies.

- Collaborate with pre-sales and client teams to design client-specific deployment architectures.

- Evaluate and onboard cloud-native tools, services, and vendor partnerships.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 12 - 15 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3-5 years in a senior/architect role.

- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform / CloudFormation, and CI/CD toolchains.

- Proven experience designing high-throughput, real-time data pipelines and streaming architectures.

- Solid understanding of networking (VPN, SD-WAN, CDN, DNS, load balancing) and cloud security principles.

- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture and enterprise-grade availability SLAs (99.9%+).

- Familiarity with video streaming protocols (RTSP, WebRTC, HLS) and edge computing paradigms is a strong advantage.

- Relevant cloud certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.

Good to Have :

- Experience in the physical security, video surveillance, or IoT domain.

- Exposure to AI/ML inference infrastructure (NVIDIA Triton, TensorRT, SageMaker, or similar).

- Knowledge of ONVIF, RTSP, and camera integration ecosystems.

- Experience working with Central, State, or Defence government cloud environments (MeghRaj / NIC Cloud).

- Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost governance tooling.
