About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS & Data Engineer with 5+ years of specialized experience in AWS and Python development within the demanding Financial Services and Data domains. This role is critical for designing, building, and optimizing scalable, secure, and resilient data platforms and applications on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, ensuring compliance and performance necessary for the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities :

- Cloud Development : Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and robust backend services using Python and leveraging core AWS services.

- Data Pipeline Engineering : Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading of financial data, ensuring high data quality and low latency.

- Financial Services Expertise : Apply practical experience within the Financial Services domain to develop solutions that adhere to stringent regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.

- AWS Architecture : Work with various AWS data and compute services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB) to architect and implement efficient, cost-effective cloud solutions.

- Code Quality & Testing : Maintain high standards of code quality, conduct peer reviews, and develop comprehensive unit and integration tests for all deployed solutions.

- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with data scientists, functional analysts, and security teams to understand data needs and deliver end-to-end data solutions.

Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills) :

- Experience : 5+ years of professional experience as an AWS and Python development engineer.

- Domain Focus : Mandatory experience working within the Financial Services and Data domains.

- Cloud & Coding : Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and extensive experience developing solutions on AWS.

- Data Engineering : Proven ability to build and manage scalable data pipelines and workflows in a cloud environment.

Education : Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or an IT-related field, or equivalent relevant IT experience.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with AWS data services such as AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, or Amazon EMR/SageMaker.

- Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins) for infrastructure as code and CI/CD.

- Knowledge of specific financial data standards or regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
