Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Looker Developer with 4 to 8 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in LookML, SQL, data modeling, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse. The role involves designing and developing scalable Looker data models, creating interactive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

- Build and maintain LookML models, views, explores, and derived tables.

- Develop reusable semantic data models to support self-service analytics.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.

- Design and implement efficient data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema methodologies.

- Optimize LookML models, SQL queries, and dashboards for performance and scalability.

- Integrate Looker with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reports and dashboards.

- Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide production support for Looker applications.

- Work closely with data engineers and analytics teams to build scalable BI solutions.

- Implement security, access controls, and governance within the Looker environment.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and development standards.

Required Skills :

- 4 to 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering.

- Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML development.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis and query optimization.

- Experience with data modeling concepts, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.

- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse Analytics.

- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with Git or other version control systems is an added advantage.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Looker, Google Cloud, Snowflake, or other cloud platform certifications are preferred.

- Experience with Python or scripting for data automation is an added advantage.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices is desirable.
