Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux System Administrator to join our client's dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of their Linux-based infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical systems. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing system performance, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain Linux server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for all applications and services.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and impact on users.

- Implement and maintain virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) to optimize resource utilization and improve system scalability.

- Configure and maintain network services, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure secure and reliable network connectivity.

- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and security policies, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance.

- Monitor system performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to prevent disruptions and maintain a secure environment.

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to deploy and support new applications and services, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of automation tools and scripts to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of various Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).

- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies and experience with managing virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, KVM).

- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating system administration tasks.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
