Key Responsibilities :


- Manage and maintain Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.

- Monitor system health and ensure high availability, stability, and security of production environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, hardware, and network-related issues in a timely manner.

- Manage user access, permissions, and authentication mechanisms.

- Implement and maintain security controls, including system hardening and compliance with internal standards.

- Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting or configuration management tools such as Ansible.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, maintain, and optimize systems in virtualized or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Perform regular backup, recovery, and patch management operations.

- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.

Technical Skills & Competencies :


- Strong expertise in Linux administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).

- Proficiency in system installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, and scripting in Bash, Python, or Shell.

- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).

- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of system hardening, security controls, and infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).

- Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.

Preferred Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent.

- Prior experience in large-scale production system administration and infrastructure automation
