Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Liferay Developer with 38 years of experience to join our team in Pune.

The core focus of this role is on the design, development, and management of robust eCommerce solutions built on the Liferay Digital Experience Platform (DXP).

The ideal candidate must possess 3+ years of hands-on experience in eCommerce development and will be responsible for technical customization, complex system integration (including CRM/ERP), and translating commercial requirements into dynamic, optimized shopping experiences.

Primary Responsibility & Key Responsibilities :

Liferay Platform Management and Customization :

- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of eCommerce solutions built specifically on the Liferay platform (DXP).

- Customize Liferay's DXP components, including developing custom portlets, themes, and templates, to deliver an optimized and dynamic user experience.

- Utilize Liferay Commerce or similar enterprise eCommerce solutions to manage product catalogs, checkout processes, and order fulfillment.

eCommerce Strategy & Development :

- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define eCommerce requirements and meticulously translate them into technical specifications using Liferays tools and features.

- Apply proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Java to develop high-quality, maintainable code across the platform.

Integration & API Management :

- Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate third-party systems vital for eCommerce functionality, such as payment gateways, CRM, ERP, and inventory management solutions, with Liferay.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of API integration and data exchange formats (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) to ensure seamless and secure data flow across integrated systems.

- Utilize experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and server-side scripting to manage data persistence and logic.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience : 3 to 8 years of professional experience in development, with 3+ years in eCommerce development, design, and management.

Core Liferay : Expert proficiency in Liferay development (customizing portlets, themes, and templates) and familiarity with Liferay DXP/Portal.

eCommerce Platforms : Experience with Liferay Commerce or similar enterprise-level eCommerce solutions (e.g., SAP Hybris, Magento).

Technical Stack : Strong experience with Java development and fundamental web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Integration : Solid understanding of API integration principles and data formats (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).

Database : Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and server-side scripting.

Preferred Skills :

- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and IT.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret user data and generate actionable insights.

- Familiarity with SEO best practices, digital marketing strategies, and conversion optimization techniques.
