Job Description

Role Overview :

As a Lead Specialist - Kafka & RabbitMQ Administration, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our clients' Kafka and RabbitMQ infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliable and scalable operation of these critical messaging systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling real-time data processing and seamless communication across various applications, ultimately driving improved business outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement highly available and scalable Kafka and RabbitMQ clusters to meet business requirements.

- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka and RabbitMQ performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance for application teams.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and management of Kafka and RabbitMQ infrastructure, improving operational efficiency.

- Implement security best practices for Kafka and RabbitMQ, protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry standards for the security team.

- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on Kafka and RabbitMQ usage, enabling them to build robust and efficient applications.

- Manage capacity planning for Kafka and RabbitMQ infrastructure, ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet future demand for the infrastructure team.

- Lead incident response for Kafka and RabbitMQ related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity for the client.

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve Kafka and RabbitMQ infrastructure, driving innovation and efficiency for the engineering team.

Required Skillset :

- Deep understanding of Kafka and RabbitMQ architecture, configuration, and administration.

- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Kafka and RabbitMQ environments.

- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks and managing infrastructure.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for Kafka and RabbitMQ.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to work on-site in Gurgaon/Gurugram.
