Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Engineer to oversee and elevate the quality assurance process for our web applications.

This role will lead a team of QA engineers, define and implement testing strategies, and take ownership of our automated testing frameworks.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on QA leader with deep expertise in both manual and automated testing, a passion for quality, and strong collaboration skills across teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans covering functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web applications.

- Develop, manage, and enhance automated test suites-ensuring they remain stable, scalable, and aligned with evolving product needs.

- Maintain and improve the existing automated testing framework, driving innovation in test automation coverage and efficiency.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and validate solutions.

- Conduct manual testing for new features, regression testing, and exploratory testing to identify defects early in the development cycle.

- Verify and validate bug fixes, enhancements, and feature updates to ensure resolution accuracy and product stability.

- Monitor QA metrics to track quality trends, test coverage, and defect leakage, communicating insights to key stakeholders.

- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, more reliable release cycles.

- Drive QA best practices across the team-encouraging consistent documentation, clear test case design, and efficient automation.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 2+ years leading or mentoring QA teams.

- Proven experience with web application testing-including front-end, API, and integration layers.

- Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

- Familiarity with AccelQ for automation management and test design is a strong plus.

- Proficient in bug tracking and test management tools (e., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

- Experience with version control systems (e., Git) and cloud-based testing environments.

Preferred Skills :

- Hands-on experience with AccelQ test automation platform-building, maintaining, and optimizing automated suites.

- Scripting or programming knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Java.

- Familiarity with performance, load, or security testing tools.

- Experience leading QA efforts in SaaS or enterprise-scale web applications.
