Role : Lead Python Engineer.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Python Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance backend systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, real-time architectures, and backend system design, along with proven experience driving technical decisions and owning systems end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead architecture, design, development, and delivery of scalable backend services using Python.

- Own technical direction and architectural decisions for backend systems.

- Design and develop robust REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Build real-time communication systems, including WebSocket-based services.

- Drive performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and security.

- Lead performance optimization, monitoring, debugging, and production issue resolution.

- Establish best practices around code quality, testing, observability, CI/CD, and production readiness.

- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, DevOps, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams.

- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.

- Conduct code and architecture reviews and identify technical risks.

- Take ownership of complex technical problems and deliver production-grade solutions.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.

- Strong hands-on experience with Python.

- Strong experience building REST APIs and Microservices.

- Strong understanding of Distributed Systems, Scalability, Fault Tolerance & High Availability.

- Hands-on experience with WebSockets / Real-Time Backend Systems.

- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching systems.

- Strong knowledge of performance optimization, monitoring, logging, debugging, and production operations.

- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.

- Proven technical leadership and architectural decision-making experience.

- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and code review skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience working on large-scale, high-availability platforms.

- Cloud platform experience.

- Containerization and CI/CD experience.

- Experience leading backend engineering teams or technical initiatives.

- Strong understanding of observability and reliability engineering.
