Job Description :

Join our engineering team as a Lead Python Engineer and play a critical role in designing and building high-performance backend systems using Python and AWS.

This is a hands-on leadership role for professionals passionate about backend architecture, cloud-native services, and mentoring high-performing tech teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs and microservices

- Mentor, coach, and technically guide a team of Python developers

- Own the full software development lifecycle from planning to production

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to deliver high-quality software solutions

- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through best practices and code reviews

- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform

- Troubleshoot complex system issues and proactively identify opportunities for improvement

- Contribute to technical estimation, sprint planning, and proof of concepts (POCs)

- Advocate for Agile principles and continuous improvement within the team

Skills & Expertise Required :

- Proficiency in AWS development (Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Athena, Glue, etc.)

- Experience with backend frameworks like FastAPI or Flask

- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservice architecture

- Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation using Terraform

- Strong command of databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Aurora

- Knowledge of Git/Bitbucket, unit testing, and debugging tools

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and agile software development methodologies

- Ability to work independently and drive architectural decisions

Bonus Skills :

- Working knowledge of AWS Cognito and Step Functions

- Demonstrated experience in leading agile teams and delivering in a fast-paced environment
