About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer / Python Lead with deep expertise in API development, backend architecture, and scalable distributed systems. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python frameworks (Flask/Django), cloud platforms, microservices, and DevOps tools. In this role, you will lead development initiatives, drive backend system optimization, mentor developers, and ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Python + Backend Engineering :

- Develop, maintain & scale backend applications using Python (Flask/Django).

- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

- Implement database schemas, caching strategies & backend integrations.

- Ensure performance, scalability, reusability & cost-efficiency in solutions.

Tech Leadership :

- Lead and mentor a backend engineering team, guiding development & delivery.

- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices & ensure clean code standards.

- Support sprint planning, workload estimation and technical decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Distributed Systems & Integrations :

- Work on event-driven systems using Kafka, SQS, SNS or similar tools.

- Perform API development with REST & networking knowledge (Netconf/REST).

- Integrate services with MongoDB, Redis and other data stores.

- Conduct performance tuning, failure handling & high-availability design.
