Lead PHP Developer - Laravel/Wordpress

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance PHP applications.

- Develop custom plugins, themes, and modules for WordPress and Laravel-based projects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, QA, and product owners to deliver robust solutions.

- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.

- Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and project planning activities.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to PHP, Laravel, and WordPress.

- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high code quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams.

- Deep understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and web services integration.

- Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Experience developing custom WordPress plugins and themes.

- Strong knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB or other relational databases.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

- Experience with deployment and CI/CD pipelines.

- Good understanding of web security standards and best practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.

- Knowledge of other PHP frameworks like Symfony or CodeIgniter is a plus.

- Exposure to front-end frameworks like Vue.js or React is advantageous.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
