Lead LLM Engineer - Applied AI & Data System

Description :

Opportunity with a leading global investment management platform to build and deploy LLM-powered applications for enterprise data access. This role owns end-to-end development of AI agents enabling natural language interaction with complex internal data systems. You will work across applied AI, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure, designing scalable, secure, production-grade solutions on Azure. High ownership role with direct impact on front-office and data workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and deploy LLM-powered agents for querying structured and unstructured data

- Build custom connectors across time-series, document, and relational databases

- Architect agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel

- Develop robust text-to-SQL / DAX pipelines with failure handling mechanisms

- Implement retrieval-augmented generation, prompt optimization, and context management

- Ensure secure data access via role-based controls and production-grade deployment on Azure

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- 8- 10 years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in LLM / AI applications

- Strong hands-on expertise in Python and API-driven application development

- Proven experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel)

- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) in production

- Exposure to complex data ecosystems (time-series, vector databases, relational systems)

- Preferred : Background in capital markets, hedge funds, or financial data platforms
