Excellent Opportunity with MNC for Kubernetes SME :
Preferred Immediate Joiner - Work Mode : Shift-based support.
We are looking for a Kubernetes SME to provide hands-on support for Kubernetes platform operations, troubleshooting, deployment support, and production issue resolution. The resource should be comfortable working in shifts and supporting critical enterprise workloads in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Kubernetes clusters.
- Monitor cluster health, node status, workloads, pods, services, ingress, and storage.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes issues related to pods, deployments, services, networking, DNS, ingress, certificates, and resource utilization.
- Support application deployments, rollbacks, scaling, and configuration changes.
- Work with DevOps, application, infrastructure, security, and network teams to resolve production issues.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and change activities as per defined SLA.
- Analyze logs, events, metrics, and alerts to identify root cause.
- Support Kubernetes upgrades, patching, backup, restore, and cluster maintenance activities.
- Manage namespaces, RBAC, secrets, config maps, resource quotas, and limit ranges.
- Support container image deployment and integration with container registries.
- Assist in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch, Splunk, or similar tools.
- Prepare incident reports, RCA documents, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in shift handovers and provide status updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills :
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of containers, Docker or containerd, images, registries, and runtime behavior.
- Experience with Kubernetes objects such as Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, PV, PVC, and StorageClasses.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, CNI, service discovery, DNS, load balancing, and ingress controllers.
- Experience with Helm charts and YAML-based deployments.
- Working knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Knowledge of security concepts such as RBAC, network policies, image scanning, certificates, and secrets management.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues.
Shift & Support Expectations :
- Resource should be willing to work in rotational shifts.
- Should support production incidents, planned changes, and emergency troubleshooting.
- Should be available for weekend or off-hour support during critical activities, if required.
- Should follow incident, problem, change, and escalation management processes.
Minimum Qualification :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on Kubernetes/platform support experience.
