Lead Java Developer - Microservices Architecture

Job Overview :

We are seeking an accomplished and technically adept Lead Java Developer with 9- 11 years of experience in designing, developing, and leading backend solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, microservices, and cloud-native application development, along with proven leadership abilities to guide high-performing development teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based backend applications.

- Architect, implement, and optimize microservices-based solutions ensuring performance and resilience.

- Drive API development initiatives (RESTful, GraphQL) to support product features and integrations.

- Ensure robust application deployments using Kubernetes and cloud-native practices.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering best coding practices and code reviews.

- Ensure security, performance, and compliance standards are met in application design.

- Participate in release planning, sprint reviews, and agile ceremonies to align with project goals.

- Drive innovation and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies for adoption.

- Take ownership of production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 9- 11 years of professional experience in Java backend development.

- Strong expertise in Java (JDK 8 and above) with deep knowledge of multithreading, collections, and performance tuning.

- Proven experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Hands-on experience in API development using RESTful services and preferably GraphQL.

- Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling.

- Strong experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and caching mechanisms.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
