Lead Engineer - Python/Golang

Our client is a hyderabad based startup and they are looking to hire a Lead Engineer - Python.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs in Python or Go

- Build and maintain high-performance systems and data pipelines that power core product features

- Write clean, testable, modular code that scales and is easy to maintain

- Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and product teams to ensure seamless integrations

- Participate in system design, code reviews, and architecture planning sessions

- Leverage and contribute to open-source tools and components

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize distributed systems for performance and reliability

- Help define and evolve foundational platform building blocks

Requirements :

- 4-8 years of experience building backend systems or platform services

- Strong command of Python (experience with Go is a big plus)

- Proven ability to design, build, and scale robust APIs and backend infrastructure

- Solid understanding of system design principles and distributed systems

- Proficient in SQL and working with data-centric applications

- Comfortable working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Experience with modern development practices (CI/CD, testing, version control)

Good to Have :

- Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems

- Familiarity with gRPC, GraphQL, or modern API protocols

- Exposure to cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Open-source contributions or a strong GitHub profile

- Hands-on work with data warehouses, data lakes, or modern data platforms

- Building developer-facing tools or internal platform services
