We are seeking a Lead E-commerce Architect / Principal Engineer to define the technical roadmap and drive the architecture of our entire multi-brand digital platform. This is a technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in modern e-commerce systems, microservices, and high-volume transaction processing. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform is infinitely scalable, highly resilient, and flexible enough to support the unique requirements and rapid integration of new D2C brands.

Key Technical Responsibilities :

1. E-commerce Architecture & Strategy

Platform Design: Own and evolve the technical architecture of our headless e-commerce platform, defining standards for services related to product information management (PIM), order management systems (OMS), inventory, and checkout.

Decoupling: Lead the transition to a fully decoupled, microservices-based architecture to enhance speed-to-market and ensure independent scalability of core e-commerce functions.

Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend new technologies (e.g., specific databases, messaging systems, CDN providers) to address current and future business scaling needs.

2. Performance and Reliability

Scaling: Design systems capable of handling massive traffic spikes during seasonal sales (e.g., Diwali, EORS) and ensuring zero downtime.

Optimization: Drive performance optimization efforts across the full stack, focusing on improving Core Web Vitals, API latency, and database query efficiency to maximize conversion rates.

Integration: Define robust API contracts and integration patterns for internal services (e.g., Merchandising, Logistics, Finance) and external partners (3PLs, Payment Gateways).

3. Technical Leadership

Mentorship: Mentor and guide senior and staff engineers across multiple teams on best practices, design patterns, and complex technical challenges.

Code Quality: Set the standard for code quality, security, and testability across the engineering organization.

What You'll Bring (Mandatory Skills & Experience) :

Educational Excellence : B.Tech/M.Tech from an IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, or IIIT is mandatory.

Experience : 5-7 years of hands-on experience in high-traffic, transactional environments, with significant tenure in E-commerce, FinTech, or large-scale B2C platforms.

Architecture Depth: Proven expertise in Microservices, distributed systems, and designing for eventual consistency.

E-commerce Stack : Deep functional and technical knowledge of core e-commerce concepts (PIM, Cart/Checkout flow, Inventory Sync) and experience with technologies like Kafka, Node.js/Go, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

Performance : Demonstrated track record of optimizing platforms for high conversion and low latency.
