About the Role :

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the DevOps and platform engineering team and oversee the architecture, reliability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure. The role involves managing engineering teams, driving cloud transformations, architecting highly available Kubernetes environments, automating infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring the resilience and security of production-grade distributed systems.

Total Experience : 6 - 8 years

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect, scale, and maintain production-grade, multi-node Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, performance, and cost optimization.

- Design, implement, secure, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

- Own and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for security, scalability, and performance.

- Standardize and automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and security compliance using modular Terraform templates.

- Implement and optimize enterprise-wide logging, monitoring, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, EFK, or CloudWatch.

- Strengthen cloud security through IAM policies, encryption, and automated vulnerability scanning.

- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), post-mortems, and continuous infrastructure improvements.

- Use security testing tools such as NMAP and OWASP ZAP to identify and address network and application vulnerabilities.

- Strengthen infrastructure, web application, network, and IAM security.

- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior DevOps engineers.

- Manage infrastructure support for distributed systems and message queues.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

- 2+ years of team-handling experience.

- B.Tech degree with relevant technical experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and production cluster administration.

- Extensive experience architecting and managing production-grade distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of Git, branching strategies, and enterprise version control.

- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and SonarQube for CI/CD and code quality checks.

- Advanced experience with Terraform and Helm charts for infrastructure provisioning and application packaging.

- Strong experience with cloud-based applications, preferably on AWS.

- Knowledge of cloud networking and security, including IAM, firewalls, VPC, SSL, and encryption.

- Experience implementing production-grade monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager.

- Experience managing logging architectures using Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana (EFK Stack).

- Experience supporting high-throughput distributed systems and message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.

- Strong shell scripting skills and proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.

- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, NMAP, and OWASP ZAP.

- Experience leading technical teams, managing incident response, and overseeing on-call support frameworks.

- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with service meshes and API gateways such as Istio and Kong.

- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

- Experience with automated infrastructure compliance, zero-trust policies, and corporate security standards such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
