Role Overview :

As a Lead Database Developer, you will serve as the primary architect for our core data platforms, overseeing the design, optimization, and maintenance of mission-critical database systems. You will collaborate closely with software engineering teams, data architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex functional requirements into robust, scalable database solutions. Your work will directly influence the performance and reliability of our client-facing applications, ensuring seamless data flow and high availability for users across the globe.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement complex database schemas that support high-concurrency OLTP environments to ensure optimal transaction processing speeds.

- Design and maintain sophisticated OLAP data models to facilitate high-speed analytical reporting and business intelligence initiatives.

- Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers to automate business logic and maintain data integrity across enterprise systems.

- Lead performance tuning efforts by analyzing execution plans and indexing strategies to reduce latency in large-scale production databases.

- Mentor junior developers and conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices in database security and scalability.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement long-term architectural improvements.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Database Architecture with a deep understanding of both relational and multi-dimensional modeling techniques.

- Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL development, including the ability to write highly efficient, maintainable, and secure server-side code.

- Proven capability in managing the lifecycle of both OLTP and OLAP systems within high-traffic production environments.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate technical database constraints to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

- Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment in Bangalore, with the ability to adapt to hybrid work models.

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 8 to 13 years of professional experience in database development and architecture roles.
