What Youll Do :

Responsibilities :

- Architect, design, and develop secure, scalable, modular backend services for the platform using modern Python frameworks (Flask/FastAPI) and MySQL.

- Lead all aspects of backend development for high-performance, data-intensive workflows in billings, collections, and finance automation.

- Mentor and guide backend engineers, fostering the adoption of industry best practices in code quality, testing, reviews, and documentation.

- Design and maintain robust data models, ensuring high throughput and data integrity.

- Implement asynchronous and offline processing jobs for billing/collections operations, reconciliation, and invoicing at scale.

- Oversee integration of workflows with APIs (ERP, accounting, payments, reconciliation).

- Solve complex technical challenges, from distributed architecture to real-time data collaboration.

- Own and drive backend architecture decisions for security, scaling, and reliability.

- Champion DevOps best practices for CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and deployment.

What Were Looking For :

Qualifications :

- 5 to 6 years hands-on experience architecting, developing, and scaling modern backend systems, preferably SaaS/B2B.

- Expert-level proficiency in Python (Flask/FastAPI), with solid understanding of OOP and design patterns.

- Experience designing and optimizing relational database schemas (MySQL/Postgres) for large, transactional data sets.

- Proven track record leading backend teams/projects, setting technical direction, and mentoring engineers.

- Deep understanding of API design, OAuth, webhooks, and integrations (ERP/Accounting/Payments).

- Experience with async architectures, background job queues (Celery, Redis, etc.), and event-driven workflows.

- Adept at debugging, profiling, and performance tuning high-availability systems.

- Passion for automation, financial technology, and collaborative product building.

- Startup/SaaS/fintech experience is highly valued.
