Lead Backend Engineer - Java/Spring Boot

About the Role :

We are seeking a Lead Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team in Gurugram. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong technical skills, and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems

- Lead architecture discussions and contribute to high-level and low-level system design (HLD & LLD)

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Java and Spring Boot

- Solve complex problems related to system performance, scalability, and reliability

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, frontend, and DevOps

- Mentor junior developers and help enforce best coding practices

- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve code quality

Key Skills & Requirements :

- 8.5 to 11 years of hands-on experience in backend development

- Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot

- Solid understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)

- Deep experience in System Design - both HLD and LLD

- Experience with microservices architecture and scalable distributed systems

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take full ownership

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Currently working or previously worked in a product-based company

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.) is a plus

- Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage
