Role Overview:

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of high-scale transaction processing systems that form the backbone of our fintech infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and maintain high-throughput microservices using Java and Node.js to ensure the platform handles complex payment flows with sub-millisecond latency.

- Lead the integration of third-party payment gateways to expand our global reach and provide diverse payment options for our customers.

- Implement rigorous API security protocols and ensure full PCI-DSS compliance to protect sensitive financial data and maintain regulatory integrity.

- Optimize system performance by leveraging Redis for caching and Kafka for event-driven data streaming, ensuring consistent reliability during peak transaction volumes.

- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance to foster a culture of technical excellence and high-quality engineering standards.

Required Skillset:
