Lead Backend Engineer - Java

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems for our FinTech platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and system design, with a passion for solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot

- Lead backend architecture and contribute to high-level system design

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security

- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews

- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development

- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

- Excellent understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)

- Strong experience in System Design and building scalable systems

- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL)

- Familiarity with version control tools (Git)

Good to Have :

- Prior experience in the FinTech domain

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)

- Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

- Understanding of security and compliance standards
