Lead Backend Engineer - Golang

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Backend Engineer (Golang) who can design, build, and scale complex B2B applications handling massive volumes of data. You will lead a 7+ member engineering team, drive architectural decisions, ensure high system availability, and enhance development efficiency through CI/CD, tooling, and modern engineering practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust system architecture, introduce efficient workflows, and mentor junior engineers while driving best practices.

Responsibilities :

- Develop B2B applications from scratch, handling massive datasets.

- Design complex and scalable architectures, including integrations with external systems via APIs.

- Monitor systems and quickly resolve production failures or abnormalities.

- Enhance and optimise CI/CD pipelines for faster, safer product delivery.

- Introduce new tools, systems, and development cultures for improved team efficiency.

- Build fundamental technical skills of team members and guide them through best practices.

- Lead an engineering team of 7+ members using Agile/Scrum methodologies and processes.

Requirements :

- 8+ years of experience in backend development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Golang.

- Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

- Strong expertise in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.

- Experience designing complex system architectures with external API integrations.

- Knowledge of application performance monitoring and optimisation.

- Experience with automation testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing.

- Strong understanding of web security best practices.

- Practical experience with CI/CD, Docker, and AWS.

- Hands-on experience managing services in production.

- Experience with frontend technologies (TypeScript, ReactJS/VueJS).

- Good English verbal communication skills.

- Proven experience leading projects and engineering teams successfully.

- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Ability to design and review technical architecture, solve complex technical challenges, and mentor junior engineers.

- Experience with Terraform (IaC).

- Experience working as a Scrum Master.

- Experience working in a multi-cultural, global environment.
