Role Overview :

We are looking for a Lead SDET / Lead Automation Test Engineer to drive our end-to-end automation strategy, build scalable test frameworks, and ensure high-quality delivery across modern, distributed systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership role in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute robust automation test scripts for functional, regression, and API testing.

- Build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch and enhance existing frameworks.

- Lead automation strategy across web applications and REST APIs.

- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven).

- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

- Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution.

- Manage test data requirements, coordinate with upstream/downstream systems.

- Drive shift-left testing using test data virtualization where required.

- Oversee QA environment setup, monitoring, and release validation.

- Work closely with globally distributed teams.

Must-Have Skills :

- 6-9 years of strong experience in Automation Testing / SDET roles

- Hands-on expertise in :

1. Selenium with Java

2. REST API Automation Rest Assured

- Proven experience in automation framework development from scratch

- Solid exposure to CI/CD tools Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven

- Experience with Test Management & Defect Tracking Tools Jira, ALM, Rally

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum QA processes

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Cloud testing environments

- Knowledge of Docker / containerized execution

- Experience with performance or security testing
