About the Role :

LatentBridge is seeking a senior, hands-on Python backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable services and APIs, owning solutions from design through production.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain scalable Python backend services and REST APIs using Django, FastAPI, and/or Flask.

- Design maintainable service-oriented/microservices architectures with a focus on reliability and performance.

- Implement authentication/authorization, API security, validation, exception handling, logging, and tests.

- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases; optimize queries, indexing, and data access patterns.

- Write clean, reusable code; review code, troubleshoot production issues, and implement durable fixes.

- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams; support CI/CD, deployment, and operational readiness.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10 - 15 years of software engineering experience with strong, recent hands-on Python backend development.

- Strong Python, OOP, debugging, clean-code, and software design fundamentals.

- Production experience with Django, FastAPI, and/or Flask; strong REST API and microservices knowledge.

- Experience with API security, authentication/authorization, automated testing, and Git.

- Hands-on SQL experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Azure SQL; NoSQL familiarity is an advantage.

- Ability to own complex backend problems and explain technical decisions clearly.

Good to Have :

- Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

- Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka, caching, distributed systems, observability, and production performance tuning.

- Agile delivery, technical mentoring, and constructive code reviews.

- A hands-on senior engineer who enjoys coding and solving complex backend problems - not a purely managerial profile.

- Strong ownership, pragmatic system-design skills, and a focus on quality, security, and reliability.
