Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and support MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Aurora, MariaDB

- Perform query optimization, indexing & performance tuning

- Ensure high availability (replication, clustering, failover)

- Handle backup, recovery & disaster recovery (DR)

- Troubleshoot critical production incidents under tight SLAs

- Drive automation using Shell/Python scripting

- Manage database upgrades, patching & migrations

- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud & Application teams

- Ensure database security (IAM, encryption, network configs)

- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations

Must-Have Expertise :

- Strong in MySQL (InnoDB, replication, partitioning, indexing)

- Deep knowledge of query optimization & execution plans

- Hands-on with AWS RDS & Amazon Aurora

- Strong troubleshooting in high-traffic production environments

- Experience with Linux/Unix & Windows environments

Nice to Have :

- NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)

- DB migrations (On-Prem - AWS)

- Terraform / CloudFormation

- CI/CD pipelines for DB deployments

- AWS Certifications
