Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA (L3 Support) with 8 to 13 years of experience in managing, administering, and optimizing enterprise Oracle database environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, performance tuning, database upgrades, and high-availability architectures.

This role requires hands-on experience supporting mission-critical OLTP systems, preferably within Banking and Financial Services environments, while ensuring database performance, availability, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide Level 3 (L3) support for enterprise Oracle database environments and mission-critical applications.

- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.

- Manage high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Active Data Guard.

- Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis using AWR, ASH, and Oracle performance tools.

- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN.

- Support large-scale OLTP databases with high transaction volumes and stringent availability requirements.

- Execute database upgrades, migrations, patching, and platform modernization initiatives.

- Manage Oracle ASM, storage configurations, and database capacity planning activities.

- Support Exadata environments and optimize workloads using Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC).

- Configure and manage GoldenGate for data replication, migration, and synchronization requirements.

- Implement partitioning, compression, SQL performance optimization, and resource management strategies.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and network teams to resolve database-related issues and improve system performance.

- Perform proactive monitoring, incident management, problem management, and operational support activities.

- Ensure database security, compliance, audit readiness, and adherence to enterprise governance standards.

- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 to 13 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, Database Consultant, or Database Support Engineer.

- Strong experience supporting enterprise Oracle database environments.

- 3+ years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries preferred.

- Expert-level experience with Oracle RAC.

- Strong expertise in Data Guard and Active Data Guard.

- Extensive experience with RMAN backup and recovery strategies.

- Strong performance tuning expertise using AWR, ASH, SQL tuning, and Oracle diagnostic tools.

- Experience with Oracle Partitioning and Advanced Compression.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

- Strong understanding of Oracle Database architecture including Oracle 12c, 19c, 21c, and Oracle 26AI.

- Experience managing large OLTP environments with high transaction volumes.

- Experience handling multi-terabyte databases and enterprise-scale workloads.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle ASM and storage management.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata, including Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, and HCC.

- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for replication and migration scenarios.

- Expertise in database upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.

- Experience with Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR), SQL Plan Management (SPM), Real Application Testing (RAT), and Resource Manager.

- Understanding of connection pooling and integration with application servers such as WebLogic.

- Strong Linux administration and performance diagnostics skills using vmstat, iostat, top, sar, and related tools.

- Experience troubleshooting network latency and database connectivity issues.

- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-based database deployments.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM).

- Experience with Oracle Exadata or engineered systems.

- Exposure to cloud-native database architectures and modernization programs.

- Experience supporting regulatory audits, compliance requirements, and governance initiatives within Banking or Financial Services organizations.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
