Switching-Routing (L2-L3) Technology :
- Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of VLANS, VTP, ISL, 802.1Q, Ether-Channel, STP, RSTP, MST, PVST, FHRP-Gateway Redundancy Protocols, Stacking, Switch Security, SPAN, RSPAN, ACL (Standard & Extended), QoS, Port-Channel, Route-map, PBR, SVI, IP Routing, Port-monitoring/mirroring.
Wireless Technology :
- Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of Cisco Wireless Controllers, AP (Lightweight and Autonomous - All Models), FlexConnect, HA/SSO, ACL, Routing, WAP Groups.
Nexus Switches :
- Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of VRF, VRF-Leaking, Spine-Leaf, VPC, FEX, VDC, OTV, VxLAN, FCoE, Fiber Channel.

WAN / Routing Technologies :

Firewalls :
- IPv4 Policy, Routing (Static), Zones, Nating, Public IPs, IPv6.
Monitoring Tools :

Central Services :

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Ensure to close the tickets (Request, Incidents, Tasks, ITCHG, PBI, KB) in adhere SLA Time.
- Providing Guidance to L1 team to process the Tickets.
- Adhere the Compliance & Quality on Tickets.
- Participation in Bridge calls/MI to troubleshoot the critical issues.
- Ability to work with different vendors.
- Working with different regions of clients for day to day Network issues, flexible in work timings.
- Working on medium/Major Network Projects.
- Co-ordination with different teams to resolve the Connectivity issues.
- Participating in CAB (Change Advisory Board) and presenting Change Requests; also, doing PIR (Post Implementation Review) for each changes and publish in report.
- Participating, driving MIM and preparing RCA in PB Management.
- Part of ARB (Architecture Review Board)/Engineering/Project team (internal and customer) for new design discussion, assessing and mitigating the risk.
- Providing inputs on the in-scope IT landscape for enhancement.
- Leading / Driving the Technical discussion / reviews such as capacity planning, Risk reviews, major change planning, RCA, DR Drills.
- Owning the Major incidents and Project task for respective tower / domain.
- Providing inputs and assistance in technical changes such as Technology refresh, Migrations, New implementation / Roll out.
- Perform analysis based on trend reports, capacity reports etc for in-scope IT landscape.
- Provide inputs for fine tuning / enhancement with impact analysis of the fine-tuning changes.
- Discussion with OEM / Vendor / Suppliers for performance improvement.
- Record and track the improvement / fine-tuning.
- 24X7 monitoring of the Site availability and for any faults (like router outages, link outages, exceeding set thresholds).
- 24X7 Switch, Router, LB, Link availability monitoring.
- Configuring thresholds for Switch, Router CPU usage, & memory usage.
- Performing Switch, Router, port, VLAN configurations.
- Monitor Switch, Router CPU / memory usage.
- Monitor Switch, Router Port Status of uplink and other critical interfaces.
- Monitor and control configuration aspects like IP address, subnet mask, DNS settings, etc.
- Alarm generation, handling and filtering.
- Link Bandwidth utilization.
- Incident and Request Services monitoring.
- Addition & deletion of new locations and devices in network monitoring tool.
- Request Fulfillment Management.
- Switch, Router, Link troubleshooting and recovery in case of any outage.
- Back-up link availability testing and monitoring.
- Trend based consultancy based on historical data samples and Capacity Planning.
- Providing selective resource access by configuring suitable access list on the switch.
- Configuring authentication protocols that are available in Cisco IOS (like AAA) if any available.
- User Account Management: Configuring user authentication through TACACS or RADIUS servers if any available.
- Hardening of network devices.
- Device Configuration management.
- Load Balancer configuration management, IOS Upgrade, Cisco Switches Stacking, Non-Cisco Switching and wireless products exposure.
- Configure Real and virtual Links/Servers, Interface enable / disable.
- QoS, Policy Based Routing configurations.
- Configuring Dynamic Routing Protocols.
- Configuring NAT.
- Monitor/ analyse and fix problems due to Memory and CPU utilization and errors.
- Carry out comprehensive problem analysis and ensure resolution on time.
- Co-ordinate with vendors for Hardware related issues, TAC support and Hardware replacements.
- Device Availability Report.
- Config Backup Management.
- Vendor/OEM Coordination (raising TAC, working with Active-passive team).
- Configuration of PE link device management & configuration at branches.
- Generation of Reports like Performing Switch, Router, Load Balancer Appliance Availability Report, CPU utilization Report, Capacity Planning Report and Trend Analysis Report.
- Configuration & management of switches and controller devices.
- Incident / Request Fulfillment / Change management / MI - Major Incidents Management.
- Implement privilege rights based on user rights for controlled access.
- Implement encrypted password management mechanisms on all supported devices.
- Ensure security against asynchronous terminals, such as console terminals and from integrated modem line.
- Preparation of RCA for Major Incidents.
- Repeat Incident / Alert Analysis.
- Updation and maintenance of FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), Availability, Capacity management.
