Role & responsibilities :

- Design and implement global backup and recovery strategies.

- Manage and optimize CommServe, Media Agents, Azure/AWS backup Vaults and Veeam repositories.

- Responsible of Immutability rules enforcement

- Lead upgrades, capacity planning, and DR exercises.

- Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.

- Perform RCA for major incidents and recommend preventive measures.

- Integrate on-prem and cloud backup solutions

- Ensure compliance with security, retention, and regulatory standards.

- Mentor and guide L1.5/L2 engineers

Preferred candidate profile :

- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise backup infrastructure management.

- Expert knowledge of Commvault architecture, Azure/AWS Backup and Veeam B&R and Cloud Connect

- Strong understanding of storage, virtualization, and networking.

- Proven experience with multi-petabyte, cross-region environments.

- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
