Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer (L2) to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in switching, routing, SD-WAN technologies, and incident management, with the ability to work in a fast-paced support environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor network performance, availability, and health using network monitoring tools.
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Manage Access Point (AP) configurations and wireless networks.
- Handle P1/P2 incidents, ensure timely resolution and perform root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and third-party providers for issue resolution.
- Implement network changes and upgrades following change management processes.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and performance issues.
- Maintain network documentation and incident reports.
- Ensure adherence to SLA and KPI metrics.
- Support basic network security configurations such as firewalls and VPNs.
- Participate in on-call support during critical outages.
- Assist in capacity planning and optimization.
Required Skills & Competencies :
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, NAT)
- Hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP)
- Experience in SD-WAN technologies
- Knowledge of wireless networking and AP configurations
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
- Understanding of ITIL and incident management processes
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong communication and vendor coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications :
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent
- Experience in enterprise or managed services environments
Other Requirements :
- Willingness to work in night shifts
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations
