Job Description :

- ORAN MAC Development Engineer to design, develop, and optimize 4G LTE MAC layer components for an ORANbased NonTerrestrial Network (NTN) system.

The role involves adapting LTE MAC procedures to satellitespecific constraints while ensuring compliance with ORAN and 3GPP standards.

- Strong experience in LTE (4G) MAC layer development

- Solid understanding of 3GPP LTE protocols : MAC, RLC, PHY interaction

- Proficient in C/C++ programming (realtime or embedded systems)

- Experience with scheduler design, HARQ processes, and RACH procedures

- Knowledge of ORAN architecture and DU software stacks

- Familiarity with satellite / NTN concepts : Long RTT, Doppler shift, timing uncertainty

- Experience with Linuxbased development and debugging tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and enhance LTE MAC layer functionalities for O-RAN-based NTN systems.

- Lead the implementation and optimization of MAC layer procedures, ensuring high performance and scalability.

- Adapt LTE MAC protocols to satellite-specific challenges such as long round-trip time (RTT), Doppler effects, and timing uncertainties.

- Develop and optimize scheduling algorithms, HARQ mechanisms, and Random Access Channel (RACH) procedures.

- Collaborate with PHY, RLC, and higher-layer protocol teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

- Ensure compliance with 3GPP LTE standards and O-RAN architecture requirements.

- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve protocol stack issues through debugging and performance analysis.
