L2 GCP Network Engineer - TCP/IP

Position : L2 - GCP Network Engineer

Experience : 4-9 Years

Location : Mumbai, India

Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

Cloud Network Implementation & Management :

- Configure and manage Network Virtual Appliances (NVA) using technologies like Cisco FTD and Citrix LBs.

- Manage network security by deploying WAF Cloud Armor Policies, handling SSL certificate renewals, and opening firewall ports in GCP.

- Implement and support hybrid cloud connectivity, including Cloud Interconnect and coordination with external ISP teams.

Network Operations & Troubleshooting :

- Troubleshoot complex network problems between on-premises and GCP cloud infrastructure.

- Act as a SPOC for security scanning and remediation procedures, working closely with the InfoSec team.

- Respond to and resolve P1 incident calls and provide root cause analysis.

Infrastructure & Security Administration :

- Maintain security standards and implement security benchmarks across cloud environments.

- Participate in internal and external network audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Planning & Leadership :

- Contribute to capacity planning and provide guidance on new solutions.

- Consult with internal IT customers on cloud migration initiatives.

- Conduct interviews for L2 and L3 network resources.

Required Skills :

Core Networking & Protocols :

- Extensive experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VRF, and VX LAN.

- Deep knowledge of VPC, VDC, STP, Port-channel, and VLAN.

Cloud Platform Expertise :

Hardware & Vendor Proficiency :

- Strong experience with Cisco ASA Firewall, FTD, and FMC.

- Expertise in load balancing with Citrix Netscaler (SDX, MPX, VPX) or F5 Load Balancers.

Process & Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE/CCSP, GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or any Citrix Load Balancer certification.
