Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions for infrastructure and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation and workflow tools, strong infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to integrate systems to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and support infrastructure automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, Python, or similar workflow/automation technologies.

- Integrate infrastructure systems and workflows with platforms such as ServiceNow to streamline service management processes.

- Work extensively with infrastructure tools and APIs to automate provisioning, monitoring, and operational activities.

- Monitor and improve service reliability by understanding and contributing to SLI (Service Level Indicators) and SLO (Service Level Objectives) tracking and reporting.

- Support and enhance notification and escalation frameworks to enable proactive issue resolution and automated incident management.

- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless automation and process optimization.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5- 9 years of relevant experience in automation engineering, infrastructure automation, or related domains.

- Hands-on experience with automation/workflow tools such as Ansible, Python, or equivalent technologies.

- Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations and workflow automation.

- Good understanding of infrastructure tools, APIs, and system integrations.

- Solid understanding of infrastructure and operating system fundamentals.

- Awareness of SLI/SLO frameworks for service measurement and reporting.

- Knowledge of notification frameworks for escalation automation and incident handling.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to CI/CD tools and practices will be an added advantage.

- Familiarity with cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure automation environments is preferred.
