Khoros Developer

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement custom features and functionalities within the Khoros platform.

- Customize and extend the Khoros platform using FreeMarker templating, React.js, and other relevant technologies.

- Develop and maintain custom themes and templates to enhance the user experience.

- Integrate third-party applications and services with the Khoros platform using REST APIs.

- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Implement dynamic and interactive components using React.js.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize front-end performance.

- Develop and maintain REST APIs for data exchange between the Khoros platform and other systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve API integration issues.

- Implement data validation and security measures for API endpoints.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Document development processes and technical specifications.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project progress.

- Monitor platform performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Implement optimizations to enhance platform speed and responsiveness.

- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and bugs.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Khoros features and best practices.

Required Skills and Expertise :

- Strong understanding of the Khoros platform architecture and functionalities.

- Experience in customizing and extending the Khoros platform.

- Proficiency in FreeMarker templating language for Khoros customization.

- Experience in creating and modifying FreeMarker templates.

- Strong proficiency in React.js for building dynamic and interactive front-end components.

- Experience with React.js best practices and component-based architecture.

- Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs.

- Understanding of API authentication and authorization mechanisms.

- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong understanding of web development best practices.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

- 3+ years of experience as a Khoros Developer or similar role.

- Proven experience in customizing and extending online community platforms.

- Strong portfolio showcasing relevant development work.

- Must be able to join within a reasonable timeframe
